The Ministry of National Infrastructures is working in various ways to encourage energy conservation, for a variety of reasons – economic, strategic, environmental, and with respect to land use.

On the national level, the conservation of energy contributes significantly to a reduction of the economic burden and decreased dependency on imported energy.

Energy conservation leads to a reduction of energy use and to a reduction of the energy expenses incurred by various consumers.

The reduction of energy use also reduces air pollution and the pollution of water sources.
