The Ministry library contains a unique collection of about 3,500 items, that mainly deal with subjects related to the energy industry, including its various aspects. This literature is arranged by subjects and sub-subjects:

• Conventional fuels - Oil, coal, natural gas, LPG, etc.
• Renewable energy sources - Sun, wind, bio-mass, and hydro.
• Electricity - Systems for the production, transportation, distribution, and exploitation of electrical energy.
• Improving the efficiency of use of energy, and savings in energy, in the industrial, commercial, agricultural, transport, and domestic sectors.
• Energy and the environment.
• Policy in the energy industry.
• Economics and statistics of energy sources and uses in Israel and abroad.

 The library contains mainly work and research conducted or financed by the Ministry, in the subjects described above. They were done mainly by scientists and professionals from institutes of higher education and from consulting and research institutes. This is a unique collection that does not exist anywhere else.

In addition, there are foreign publications in these subjects, and there is literature in the subjects of computer science, law, and statistics, as well as government yearbooks, reports by the State Inspector, research by Bank of Israel researchers, dictionaries, and atlases.

The library is open to employees of the Ministry and to the general public.

The working days of the library are:

 Mondays and Thursdays from 08:30 to 15:45.

 Wednesdays from 08:30 to 12:00.
